I absolutely adore YouTube! It's my go-to platform for inspiration and entertainment. From captivating design channels to thrilling home renovation videos and design trends, there's just so much to explore and discover. Witnessing the creativity and innovation in people's spaces never fails to ignite a spark of inspiration within me.

What truly fascinates me is the diversity of styles and personalities showcased on these channels. Some designers inject humor and irreverence into their personal style, while others fearlessly critique what they love and dislike. Yet, amidst all the excitement, I can't help but feel a twinge of concern.

Let's face it, trends come and go like the wind, but the cost of recreating these trendy spaces can be staggering. Many of us, unsure of our own style, often find ourselves mimicking these trends simply because they're in vogue. But shouldn't our spaces reflect who we are, our unique tastes, and the lives we lead?

So, how do we create spaces that truly resonate with our personalities and lifestyles? Here are a few thoughts:

  1. Assess Your Needs: Consider who shares your space. Whether it's a young family or beloved pets, your home should accommodate your lifestyle.

  2. Examine Your Style Preferences: Are you drawn to minimalistic designs or do you thrive in spaces adorned with knick-knacks and collections? Discover what truly speaks to you.

  3. Explore Different Styles: Dive into the world of interior design styles, from traditional to industrial to boho. Let the images guide you toward a style that feels like home.

  4. Create an Inspiration Board: Use platforms like Pinterest to curate a collection of images that resonate with your style. This will help you stay focused and create a cohesive look for your space.

  5. Consider Your Budget: Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither is your dream space. Start small, with a few key pieces, and enjoy the process of transforming your space over time.

Recently, I've been on a journey to rediscover my own personal style. When I bought my house in 2020, my background in home staging influenced my design choices. I transformed the space into a bright, neutral oasis, perfect for attracting buyers. However, as time passed, I realized something was missing—my personal touch.

Now, three years later, I'm embarking on a quest to infuse my home with personality and charm. No longer bound by the rules of staging, I'm excited to explore what truly resonates with me. It's a journey of self-discovery and creativity, and I can't wait to share it with you all!

Here's to creating spaces that reflect who we are, spaces that truly feel like home. Let the adventure begin! ????✨
